Yeast Infection Frequently Asked Questions

Who Can Take Yeast·Eze™

Yeast infections don't just happen to women. Men and children can also get the fungus. Herbal Yeast·Eze™ can be taken by anyone able to swallow a medium sized herb capsule. Nursing women are fine taking the product as well. We do not recommend pregnant women taking Yeast·Eze™.

What's A Yeast Infection?

Yeast infections result from an overgrowth of yeast in the body. It begins in the intestines, where the candida organism exists normally in small amounts, but it can easily spread elsewhere in the body, creating what is known as "systemic candidiasis" or "candida syndrome". The condition is commonly called a "Yeast Infection".

When we're healthy, candida yeast is kept in check with a normal balance of intestinal flora. Hormonal changes, high acid levels, stress, and long-term antibiotic or steroid use can disrupt that balance and cause an overgrowth, which turns into an infection.

Left unchecked, yeast can change to its fungal form and multiply rapidly, sprouting roots that go through your gut walls and carry the overgrowth to the rest of the body. This produces what is known as "leaky gut" and allows toxins to enter the bloodstream, which will overload the immune system.

What's The Recommended Dosage For Yeast·Eze™?

Take 4 capsules, twice a day, for 2 weeks. If  flu-like symptoms appear, reduce to 2 capsules a day until bottle is empty.

What Are The Symptoms Of A Yeast Infection?

Candida overgrowth can cause a wide variety of symptoms. Often people may experience as many as 20 of the following list of symptoms:

  • You're always tired... so much so that you feel like every drop of energy has been drained from your body. And even when you try to get enough sleep you wake up still feeling exhausted and unrefreshed.
  • You're catching everything - suddenly vulnerable to recurring infections (vaginitis is common among women).
  • You might find yourself coping with outbreaks of itchy eczema or a stubborn case of athletes' foot. Oral thrush, a horribly uncomfortable condition of the mouth, is one of the few clear signals.
  • You seem to be functioning through a thick mental fog... you're sometimes confused or unable to pay attention, making things at work, or at home, harder than they've ever been.
  • You're in pain - for some it's headaches, others have frequent sore throats, abdominal pain, muscle tension and pain, joint pain or swelling.
  • You struggle with digestive issues - like heartburn, indigestion, bloating or the uncomfortable and embarrassing (restrictive too) symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
  • Sinusitis, hay fever or other allergies have become a part of your life. Or the itching could be in your eyes rather than your nose, and can also be accompanied by vision problems.
  • You notice you seem to have intolerance's for certain foods, or find that you're craving sweets (or alcohol).
  • You're irritable... maybe hyperactive... anxious or depressed.
  • You've been poked and prodded, tested and examined endlessly - only for your tests to be "normal" and you doctor assure you "there's nothing wrong".
  • You're at the end of your rope... tired of struggling with your aches and pains, and depressed at the change you've had to make in how you live your life.

What Are The Causes Of A Yeast Infection?

There are several theories on what can cause candidiasis. Candida is a normal resident of the bowel. In certain situations, the amount of candida in the bowel can increase, resulting in an overgrowth. Conditions in the bowel must be favorable for the fungus to grow.

Candidaisis is most often attributed to one or more of the following:

  • Alcohol
  • Chemicals and toxins
  • Chemotherapy
  • Chronic constipation or diarrhea
  • Diabetes
  • Diets high in sugars
  • Excessive stress
  • Having a repressed immune system due to medication or disease
  • Intestinal parasites
  • Multiple pregnancies
  • Antibiotics kill off "good" bacteria in the intestine, which allows candida to proliferate
  • Steroids
  • Thyroid disease
  • Use of oral contraceptives, steroids, antacids, and anti-ulcer medications

What Are Some Natural Treatments For Yeast Infection?

Dietary changes are essential in the treatment of yeast infection to keep from feeding the yeast organisms. Below are dietary recommendations for candida yeast infection:

Whole Foods Diet, Including:

  • Live yogurt cultures
  • 6-8 glasses of water daily
  • Fresh vegetables
  • Proteins (chicken, beef, eggs, fish)
  • Whey protein
  • Acidophilus
  • Raw garlic
  • Nuts, seeds, and oils
  • Millet, rice, rice bran and oat bran
  • Yeast·Eze™ - (We know, it's a shameless plug)

  • Rye, wheat, oat, or barley grain

Is There A Way To Prevent Candida Yeast Infection?

Practicing some of these prevention techniques may help reduce your risk:

  • Dry vaginal area thoroughly after showering or swimming. A moist environment encourages the growth of yeast
  • Avoid wearing tight clothing such as tight jeans, nylon panties, pantyhose, or clothing made of synthetic materials such as polyester. A tight, moist environment encourages the growth of yeast
  • Wear cotton underwear and pantyhose with a cotton crotch
  • Remove your wet bathing suit as soon as possible after swimming
  • Wipe yourself after urinating or a bowel movement from front to back. This helps to avoid possible transfer of yeast from the rectum to the vagina
  • Avoid douching. Douching disturbs normal vaginal pH balance which can lead to yeast infections
  • Avoid use of feminine hygiene products such as feminine sprays and bubble baths. These products can be irritating to the vagina
  • Avoid use of scented, deodorant or colored toilet paper, tampons, pads, or panty-liners. These products can be irritating to the vagina
  • Use unscented pads and tampons during your menstrual period
  • Use unscented and white toilet paper
  • Eat yogurt that contains live cultures of lactobacilius acidophilis
  • Decrease consumption of sugar. Increased sugar levels in your body causes yeast to grow faster
